The Music Managers’ Forum was formed in 1991 in recognition of the needs of music managers and self-managed artists (information sourced here). MMF (Australia) is affiliated with Managers’ Forums in the UK, Japan, USA, Germany, France, Canada, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands and Finland through the international umbrella organisation, the IMMF.
The Arts Law Centre of Australia offers a music management checklist for sale at $A7.50, and the transcript of a music management seminar held in 1994 ($A20). An article originally published in Drum Media, 1999, appears online on the Arts Law Centre site, dealing with the practicalities of music management.
