The purpose of this section is to look at the Australian music sector as a whole and in context with other creative activities and beyond. Some papers have already been written:
- The music sector defined
- Estimating the value of the music sector
- Quality of music statistics
- Inverting the pyramid
- About the growing importance of creative industries, and how best to invest in our creative music-makers.
- Cultural economic capital
- About the independent role of intangible and tangible cultural capital for economic growth, and the need to nurture it on the international scene.
Other papers, including one on the effects of Australian federal and state policy on music, may be included either here or in under Government support.
We welcome suggestions for other contributions.
